The moral policeman speaks
“A lot of people make negative comments about me because they confuse my loyalty to the Government and commitment to my duties with sycophancy,” he said.
In a series of tweets he sent out, the man branded the tag ‘Kenya’s moral policeman’ said that all he wants to do is to support Kenya’s rich cultural diversity and in doing so he will also have to protect good morals.
“Children are the future of a country and when their morals are eroded, it will be hard to govern the country,” said one of the tweets.
He added that besides protecting children from harmful content, KFCB is committed to support the youth to express their creative talents through Creative Arts and that Kenya has the best filming locations in the world with talented youth.
He also said that the people need to change the misleading narrative about Africa as a dark and hopeless continent and start highlighting the positive aspects of our continent through film making.
Mutua has received a lot of criticism from people for his strong belief in upholding good morals in the society.
