Rapper Nazizi Hirji in mourning

Kenyan rapper and radio host Nazizi Hirji is mourning the death of her longtime friend.

In a post seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Nazizi who is a presenter at Standard Group’s new radio station Vybez Radio said that she couldn’t believe her friend was no more.

She went on to reminisce their past history, disclosing her now departed friend always believed in her and was there for her at all times.

“R.I.P princess I dont believe your gone your one of those few who believed in me wen no one did and u stood by me through all ... I will miss u dearly my friend untill we meet again,” wrote Ms Hirji. She however did not reveal the name of her friend.

She becomes the second artiste to mourn the death of a friend barely a week after Gospel singer Jimmy Gait also mourned one of his close friends.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, an emotional Gait who broke into tears mid-way revealed that he had lost a close friend he met in India where they were both admitted at the same hospital receiving treatment.

The singer stated that his friend succumbed to cancer after he was misdiagnosed while seeking treatment in Kenya.

“I just received news that my short-lived friend who I had come to love so much just passed on… I feel so much pain right now. When I remember the pain that this mzee was going through when I was there, I feel so much pain,” said Jimmy Gait in part of his post.
