A number of celebrities travelled to Kisumu over the past weekend to attend 2017 edition of Luo Festival that took place at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu on Saturday night.
Akothee, Eric Omondi, Jalang’o, Fred Omondi, Obinna, Xtiandela etc were in the Lakeside City on Saturday, but they didn’t show up at Achieng Abura’s burial despite the funeral service being held only an hour drive from Kisumu.
The fallen Afro-Jazz singer was laid to rest at her father’s home in Kaptany, Nandi County amid low turnout.
Unlike her requiem mass at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi which saw a lot of popular faces, her burial was only attended by a handful of celebrities.
