Despite self-proclaimed moral watchdog Ezekiel Mutua’s tasteless comments on the ground breaking video, it still continues to gather popularity. It’s garnered almost 600, 000 views on YouTube. It’s a wonderful celebration of black beauty and a remarkable collaboration between one of Nigeria’s best and East Africa’s finest.
The band have revealed that for their LP Afrikan Sauce, they’ll be collaborating with other artists as well.
In an interview with Pulse Live Nigeria, they said, “We have been doing collabos with different artist here in Nigeria to expand our horizon. So far with have shot four videos. On this trip we, have shot with , and . It’s only that we don’t have time. We also have a song with , and . We have not been able to shoot videos with the two because they were no around during this trip.”
However, I have a few more ideas for the artists they should collaborate with.
Mafikizolo
They did a collabo with Jaguar. It’s about time they did one with Sauti Sol.
Nyashinski
With Mungu Pekee, we saw how extraordinary Sauti Sol’s Polycarp and Nyash get along. With Polycarp’s guitar giving us goosebumps along with Nyash’a soulful vocals. Now imagine if they had the whole lot.
Eddy Kenzo
Because East Africans should stick together and make magical East African music babies. Sitya Loss was so adorbs.
Cabo Snoop
Imagine Bien doing a kapuka rendition of Angolan singer Cabo Snoop's Windeck.
And because my dreams are valid: Aloe Blacc
I can already feel my brain melt with all the sweet soul that would come from the collaboration. Imagine a harmony between the Hey Brother singer and Willis.
