While most celebrities tend to enjoy an over-the -top elaborate party, the quiet guitarist threw a party that was in line with his character, discreet and very chilled out.

Among those who attended were of course his band mates, Anyiko Owoko their publicist, and Amina Abdi’s stylist Lady Mandy.

Other celebrities who attended includes the comeback king Nyashinsky and Timmy Tdat who decided to drop by and attend the guitarist cum producer’s birthday party, which can be seen as a nod to the group’s hard work and achievements to this day. Because it is quite an honour to have musicians of their standing at your party.

As Polycarp turns a year older, let’s look at some of his achievements over the years he has been active.

When the group launched in 2006, Polycarp has been part and parcel of creating their albums, Mwanzo (2008), Sol Filosofia (2011) and Live and Die in Afrika (2014).

In their latest album, he has been very involved as a guitarist and producer in the band’s final production of the new album.

He has also toured with the band in sold out concerts across the continent and produced music for acclaimed musicians like Suzanna Owiyo and Dela.

We hope this new year wild bring great tidings for the musician. Happy Birthday!
