Why I never joined university – Size 8

Speaking on the Chipukeezy show, the mother of one said that she could not join university because there was no money and her brothers had to go to school.

“I never went to university because we did not have money for my fee but I was given a scholarship and I completed my form six at Hill Crest. After I finished my A-level my father told me that there was no money to take me to university and my brothers had to go to school,” said the Mateke singer.

In the interview, Size 8 also revealed how Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe helped her when they were in Secondary school.

She revealed that Maribe would come with school shopping from home and she would give half of everything she had to Size 8 who was very needy. In addition, she also donated some sanitary towels to Size 8 as she could not afford any.

“I remember in high school, I know that she (Maribe) has been going through a lot. In high school, Jacque Maribe was really there for me, yeye ndiye alikuwa ananibuyia sanitary towels. She used to come with shopping and split into two, she would give me and even pads. So when I see my face on the packet of pads as the brand ambassador of Softcare pads, I testify because my life is evidence that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do. God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ever ask, think or imagine,” she said on the Chipukeezy Show.
