Sol Generation Records, a music label founded by Africa’s Best Live Act, Sauti Sol has landed a deal with Dutch airline KLM to produce a six-track album dubbed ‘1919 to Forever’ in honour of KLM’s inception a century ago.
The record label that has a total of six members namely; BenSoul, Nviiiri the Storyteller, Crystal Asige and Its Kaskazini band (three members) were tasked to compose an album with a touch of love, escaping the rat race, communal celebrations and real-life issues the common Kenyan faces.
Pulselive.co.ke understands that the Label penned down a 1 year deal and the ‘1919 to Forever’ album will drop on October 9, 2019 exclusively on KLM Kenya Facebook page.
1919 to Forever Album
In a social media post, Sol Generation had this to say about their upcoming project, “Are you ready for #1919toForever album? It will be available exclusively on KLM Kenya Facebook page on October 9th. LENGA is @crystalasige's debut single and it's gonna drop the same day so go ahead and LIKE their page as you stay tuned. Carrier of the Dutch Kingdom
In a statement, KLM Commercial Director for Eastern Africa region Steven van Wijk said that “Our partnership with Sol Generation is informed by the common vision shared by the two brands of nurturing the next generation talent and giving them impetus to their dreams.”
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded in 1919 and is the Royal Carrier of the Dutch Kingdom. It is celebrating a century of existence and 50 years of flying into East Africa.

Sol Generation Records is a music record label that was founded with the sole mission of producing Iconic Live African Acts.
It’s the brainchild of Polycarp Ochieng Otieno, Willis Austin Chimano, Delvin Mudigi Savara and Bien-Aime Alusa (Sauti Sol)
Soulful singer-songwriter Bensoul was the first one to be unveiled under the label through his single called Lucy, before other Members (Nviiri, Kaskazini and Asige) were introduced through Extravaganza.
