Ms Kyalo came under fierce criticism after KTN made an announcement about her SOMA award nomination and shared a photo of her on their TV station's Facebook page.
A huge number of those who commented on the post wrote unprintable messages, slut shaming the journalist.
However, the anchor made a morning tweet dismissing her haters.

She warned Kenyans against hating on her publicly highlighting that they were messing with the wrong girl as no form of criticism would put her down.
“Anyone who thinks their words can tear me apart. So sorry but you got the wrong girl. So just hate silently don’t waste your bundles. Peace,” she said.
Betty has been nominated for the ‘Media Personality of the Year’ category and KTN used its platform owing to the thousands of followers it has to garner votes for her.
The post attracted negative response from the public who opined that she does not deserve the award.

Some dragged in Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho into the conversation alleging that Kyallo had cheated on NTV investigative journalist Denni Okari with the Governor leading to their break up.
