KTN’s Sophia Wanuna gets rare recognition for bravery in covering Miguna’s deportation

Congratulations!

In the award, Sophia was commended for aggressively pursuing the media house’s vision of being the voice of society without any fear or favor.

The award winning reporter and news anchor could not hide her excitement as she shared the news of her new achievement on her social media pages with the caption “Journo life ... voice of society”

Sophia Wanuna was among the journalists that were harassed by the General Service Unit Police (GSU) while covering the return of self-declared NRM General and lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
