Controversial MP attends State House meeting in slippers(Photos)

A controversial Jubilee MP caused quite a scene at State House after he showed up in slippers.

A controversial Member of Parliament caused quite a scene on Saturday after showing up at State House in unusual attire.

President Uhuru Kenyatta had hosted Jubilee’s elected leaders from Nairobi County where he urged the leaders to work hard to better the lives of city residents.

And while the leaders at the meeting went for a smart, casual look, controversial Embakasi West MP George Theuri showed up while wearing blue jeans and flip flops.

The MP seemed rather jovial during and after the meeting when they all posed for a photo with the President.

The flamboyant MP has however been dogged by controversies in the past prompting many to question his status as a leader in the society.

In 2016, he was criticized by Kenyans after showing up for a celebration to honor a KCPE top performer in a vest.

He also posted half-naked photos of himself and his wife on social media, a move that did not go well with Kenyans.
