State of my relationship with ex-husband Titus Wagithomo - Nyce Wanjeri

Nyce Wanjeri revealed that many people attacked her after husband broke up with her on Facebook.

In 2018, Nyce Wanjeri’s now ex-husband Titus Wagithomo left fans shell-shocked after announcing that it was over for the two on Facebook.

He attributed the demise of their marriage to success that caused absenteeism, lack of bonding and lack of family time.

“Why am I using Facebook? My marriage is over. So painful I swear. I saw it coming though. Success causes absenteeism, lack of bonding and lack of family time. Why did I imagine we last forever? We are both artists. It’s not normal. It doesn’t work,” Titus wrote on Facebook before hastily pulling down the post.

Radio Silence

During that period, Nyce maintained radio silence on the matter due to her daughter but she has now confirmed that it’s over after nine years though she won't divulge much.

“I will say this, I will make it clear I’m not ready to share my life on social media because I have a daughter that I am protecting. I don’t want her to grow to see the fighting via social media. If I didn’t have my daughter I would have spoken up but now I have a young lady that I’m bringing up to be someone in the society,” Nyce revealed during an interview with Crosstalk with Maureen Njogu.

Nyce also revealed that she was shocked when Titus went public with their breakup and she couldn’t concentrate on anything for like a full month.

“First of all when that happened, I wasn’t for the social media because when we met no one was there. When we had our differences no one knew, no one knows what happened. It was between two people. So when he took it out there I was like waa! (I was shocked). Niligongwa na butwaa! I didn’t concentrate on anything for like a full month…It was hard I will say. He took it the way he felt was good for him, he has his own reasons and I will never ask. I have my reasons but it’s because of my daughter,” she divulged.

Co-parenting

Nyce also spoke on the state of her relationship with ex-husband Titus Wagithomo confirmed that they are never getting back together but are working on co-parenting “We separated and it’s not separation ati tunarudiana kesho, no no no haturudiani. Co-parenting is hard. I will not be able to disclose much in terms of co-parenting because we are getting there, it's our first time so there is a lot to follow and a lot of emotions involved.”

“I will tell people out there, as much as you are a fan or a friend and such things are posted on social media, you as my fan ni understand. Don’t come to my inbox to insult me because the other person has spoken and I have not because social media can give a celebrity depression. This is because we depend on them (fans for our livelihood). So many attacked me claiming ati ‘Ooh uliwin ukaona uko na pesa’. It’s not about money, material things come ago. But one thing sticks and I will say respect. Respect me,” Nyce said.
