NRG Radio presenter Mwalimu Rachel has called out a Member of County Assembly (MCA) in what she referred to as killing talent.
This is how talent dies in Kenya – Mwalimu Rachel gushes at Meru MCA after doing this
In a thread on Twitter, Mwalimu who also doubles up as Sailors manager narrated how the Meru MCA stopped the Gengetone group from leaving after their driver went to pick them for a show in Kitale, because he was entertaining them.
According to Mwalimu, the MCA wanted to go partying with the group, and even insisted on driving them all the way to Kitale because he also wants to see them perform.
She termed the act by the politician as disrespect asking him where he was, when no one knew the Gengetone group.
“A mere MCA derailing our work as management and flaunting your small small money so that you show Sailors what? Derailing them to go party when they’re building their future!? You want to support them? How about reach out earlier and provide a car with a driver and jaza mafuta. Don’t just come there with your chest saying you will drive them. Who are you? We don’t know you! Such disrespect,” said Mwalimu Rachel.
She also cautioned upcoming artists to be wary of free things, because that is how Talents die in the country.
“Nimejionea mengi sana managing @sailors254. But today morning was one for the books. Dear upcoming artists (please tag them and caution them, KOT) pay attention. Msizoee vya bure!! THIS is how talent DIES in Kenya amongst the youth,” she added.
