In fact, he enrolled in a seminary in a bid to fulfil his late father’s wish for him to become a priest. To ensure that he was aptly prepared to serve as a priest Baba Timmy made sure his son attended all the 3 masses at their church and served as an altar boy.
“I was raised in a staunch Catholic family. From day one my late father wanted me to be a priest. As a young boy, he would make sure I attended all the three masses at our church and take notes on how they were conducted.” Timmy confessed to Sunday Nation.
But despite the thorough training as an altar boy and joining the seminary, Timmy eventually abandoned his religious aspirations for music as he did not have a passion for the priesthood. And he has no regrets whatsoever as he believes his late father would still be proud of the person he has become.

“I served as an altar boy for as long as I can remember but my passion wasn’t in it. Still, I believe that if my dad was here with me today, he would still be proud of the man I have become.” Timmy said.
The musician also worked as a tout and sold mitumba before he became a household name.
