Former Radio Maisha presenter speaks on being in an abusive marriage

She still believes in marriage

Former Radio Maisha presenter Tina Korosso has opened up on being in an abusive marriage.

Korosso in an interview with KTN’s Sophia Wanuna revealed that her husband was abusive and he would beat her up sometimes.

She said that it took her a long time to come to realize that it had now become too much after her husband beat her in front of their children and that is when she left her marriage.

“When it happened I just got paralyzed, I got helpless and I couldn’t believe it. It took me a very long time to realize and to see what was happening,” she said.

Korosso said that she could not continue with that life because she felt her children were being abused too.

She added that her then husband did not want her to go to work and every time she woke to up to go to work her husband would beat her up.

“He never wanted me to work and I told myself the first thing I need to do is find a job. There are days I would wake up to go to work and he would come with a belt and he would tell me you are not leaving this house. There days he would take the car keys and I would have to walk across town to work at 4 am,” she said.

Korosso however said she still believes in marriage and she would like to get married again it is God’s plan.
