Wendy Kimani reveals due date after surprise baby shower (Photos)

She went on to release an album called ‘My Essence’ and later had successful collaborations with Bien of Sauti Sol and Gilad. Her collaborations with Gilad, a former diplomat certainly paid off as she became the first Kenyan to perform in Israel, Gilad’s home country.
Away from the career side of her life, Wendy’s love life has been pretty prosperous as she wedded then Dutch fiancé, Marvin Onderwater in a beautiful wedding held on 9 August 2014. This wedding came after 6 years of being engaged after Marvin proposed to the beautiful lady at a friend’s villa in Altea, Spain.
“Yes, we are getting married, but it is a very small ceremony involving close people in our lives. It is a church wedding.” Wendy told Heads Up after she jetted into the country for her wedding.

After their gorgeous wedding which was chronicled in some of the country’s leading magazine and blogs, Wendy revealed that she hoped they would settle in Kenya. But the two later decided to settle in Marvin’s home in Leiden, Netherlands with Wendy jetting into Kenya from time to time for concerts and to visits her family.
2 years after their wedding, the Onderwater’s are expecting their first baby and as its tradition, Wendy who is now 36 weeks pregnant had a surprise baby shower.
A baby shower that was gender balanced as it was decorated blue for her baby boy, as the mum-to-be rocked out in a blush pink maternity dress.
She later went on to reveal that they expect a spring baby meaning that the baby would come on either March, April or May but since March is gone, the baby is expected this month or in May.
