But as Nyasuguta revealed, unlike her counterparts, she did not bleach her face because she wanted a lighter complexion but due to an uneven complexion caused by a road accident that left her face with dents.

“I know most people who watched me acting in Vitimbi back then see the difference between the then and current Nyasuguta. I was involved in an accident in 2013. I got dented on the face. The dent was lighter than other parts of my face, consequently making me look like a person who has two facial complexions in one. ” Nyasuguta said.
“I saw it wise to bleach so that my face gets an even skin tone. Actually it is my mum who encouraged me.” She confessed.
But as she admitted, it’s not all rainbows and butterflies after her skin lightening procedure as she misses being darker and would grab a chance at being darker once again with both hands.

She also admitted that at that time she was desperate to have an even complexion and did not think the procedure through.
