In an interview with Global publishers, Esma disclosed that she is not ready to get into another marriage, as she feels that most men just want to use her due to her status in the society.
She added that marriages are just a waste of time as a few men are willing to be commit to their relationships.

“Kwa lugha nyepesi, sitaki kusikia wala sihitaji tena ndoa. Hata mtu akija akasema anataka kunioa, nitajua ni wale wale tu kwani mapenzi ya dhati siku hizi hakuna,” Said Esma Platnumz.

Esma, who is also a successful business woman went further to disclose the qualities of a man she's looking for in case things change.
“Kwanza mwanaume ambaye namuhitaji ni mwanaume gentleman anayejielewa, mwenye kazi yake nzuri, Awe sio mtu wa drama na Instagram yaani Awe yule mwanaume ambaye yuko straight tunapanga kufanya kitu fulani tunafanya yaani in short nataka mwanaume anayejielewaa kama mimi mwenyewe,” said Esma.

In September 2018, Esma confirmed that she parted ways with her now baby daddy Petiteman a long time ago but people were not aware. This was the first time Esma openly spoke about her separation with Petit after refusing to talk about it for several months.
Esma hinted that the reason that she broke up with Petiteman was that he did not fulfill his responsibilities as a man.
“Simpendi mwanaume ambaye yupo kwa ajili ya sifa na hatekelezi kitu ambacho anachotakiwa kufanya. Kingine ambacho hawakijui mimi na Petit tuliachana muda mrefu kwa hiyo hata zile voice note zilipokuja nilicheka sana hata alinipigia simu,” she said.
