In an interview with one of the local TV stations, The Kasabun singer said he quit his radio job because of the love he has for his fans.
He went on to say that he wanted to do something his fans identified him with, which was music and nothing else.
The ‘Magaldem’ singer then noted that it was not easy to be a musician and at the same time have another job, because that would see your music career go down or end completely.
He added that he chose to concentrate fully on music.
“Not necessarily for the money but first of all it’s for the love of my fans because walinipenda kwa ile kitu walinijua nayo which is music. Number two mziki ni kitu flani iko very jealous ukitry kuishare na kitu ingine ni tricky. It’s either itaenda down ama italost. So ikabidi nimequit hio works kwa tenje ni focus on mziki,” said Timmy.
