Some fans seemed angered by the fact that he continued to collaborate with secular artistes. Others felt that his style of writing music does not seek to glorify God and asked him to change his style of writing to reflect his status as a gospel artiste. Some fans commented that the song sounded like one of his previous tunes titled ‘Digiri’.
The criticism not been taken kindly by the artiste who has had some back and forth with his fans and in some instances Cecile had to intervene.

Willy Paul has now responded to all the venom levelled his way and has commented that people need to stop hating and support people who are hardworking.
“It’s about time we stop!! HATING on each other, hold hands and appreciate all the hard work everyone is putting.Thanks to you all that support me and everything I do. Buss a Blank to every Hustler,” Willy Paul wrote.
