For starters, Zain Verjee was born in Kenya to a Canadian and Indian parents; she worked as a radio DJ for Capital FM and as a news anchor for KTN before joining CNN.
Verjee was also educated in Kenya; she studied at Hillcrest Prep School and Hillcrest Secondary School in Nairobi before flying abroad for higher education.
The ex CNN anchor is back in Kenya, she now runs her own Africa focused Production Company dubbed aKoma Media.

Verjee was caught on camera enjoying a bottle of her favorite Kenyan beer; she loves Kenya’s premier beer, Tusker.
Verjee’s love for Tusker is deeply rooted in her, last year she also posted a photo of her favorite drink as she celebrated Christmas in Tanzania.

The former CNN anchor is among other international figures who have been caught enjoying Tusker; Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange Knowles, also caused a stir in 2013 when she was caught on camera enjoying Tusker.
