South Africa based Ugandan socialite and business woman Zari Hassan has yet again proven her critics wrong, after winning a top tourism award.

In a post she shared on Instagram, Zari Hassan who bagged the Tourism Ambassador of the Year Award in the recently concluded Ekkula Tourism Awards in Uganda said she was thankful.
She went on to thank God and her fans for voting for her and helping her take the award home.
Zari was however not present to collect the award on her own and instead her Ugandan manager received the award on her behalf.

The top tourism award comes a few months after the mother of five was appointed the Uganda Tourism Board Ambassador.
Her appointment came days after President Yoweri Museveni accused the Uganda Tourism Board and the country’s embassies of not doing enough to market Uganda.
