Police reveal worrying details of mysterious Eye Witness

This is the man who made news on #EyeWitnessChallenge.

It has emerged that Mr Ngengi who earlier claimed that he served at State House as a security officer, has never been a police officer nor has he ever served in the military.

Police’s Investigative arm has divulged that Mr Ngengi who was arrested in Naivasha on Thursday will be probed in his real identity as he has been hiding his identity and that already his fingerprints have been taken to establish his real identity.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports have claimed that the ‘Eye Witness’ is being held at Nairobi’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi for further grilling.

The need to arrest the controversial eye witness who appeared giving his account on two recent fatal accidents – Lake Nakuru plane crash and Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru’s Kabati accident – in which he claimed to have full details of the incidences.

The Internet users alias Kenyans on Twitter on Tuesday through Wednesday made fun of the ability of Mr Ngengi to be at all the fatal accidents, a move that raised eyebrows amongst the police force, hence the need to interrogate him.

The police said they wanted to know how he happened to be at the scenes of two high profile accidents.

Mr Ngengi who spoke earlier during a plane crash in Lake Nakuru, said that he is a pilot who had worked with the colleague who crashed in the lake. He would later claim that he once served at State House as a security guard.

Following the Kenol accident on Tuesday after which Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru died, Ngengi said he was travelling from the county and was in a vehicle behind the late county chief's.
