Shock as Kenyan man kills wife for spending Sh4,000 on hairstyle

The money had been set aside for school fees

The suspect, a flower farm worker, reportedly bludgeoned the back of his wife's head on Tuesday with a blunt object.

He was arrested hours after he left for work.

The couple's neighbour, Sally Waithera, said that she heard the couple argue over the amount used to make the hair as the Sh4, 000 had been set aside for school fees.

Festive season

“The man accused his wife of using the money to do her hair over the festive season. This angered him to the point of killing her," witnesses said.

Neighbours also had to intervene when the couple fought on Monday night.

Area Chief Hassan Guyo said CID officers were investigating the murder.
