Man causes a scene for selling weed in front of Statehouse

Ed Forchion, a longtime cannabis activist, paid a visit to the Trenton statehouse and reportedly sold weed to 10 people, taunting police officers and all but daring them to arrest him.

According to the report on NorthJersey.com, Forchion was intercepted by four cops, who "refused to arrest him, with one saying they would not play along in a publicity stunt."

Forchion was released from prison in May after being cleared in a witness tampering case that alleged New Jersey's foremost marijuana activist was using his now-closed Trenton restaurant to deal drugs.

He is also running for State Assembly is New Jersey in the 15th District and is protesting the fact that as legislation is coming to New Jersey, black Amercians are being excluded from a potentially billion dollar business.

"I'm demanding inclusion and threating to openly begin selling weed too,'' he told Pulse Live.

Kenya

ODM MP Kenneth Okoth has taken the first step in legalising marijuana (bhang) in Kenya.

The Kibra MP introduced the Marijuana Control Bill 2018 that seeks to ensure the growth and use of marijuana is decriminalised and amnesty measures instituted for the removal of criminal records against citizens with prior convictions of the drug use.

In a letter addressed to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Okoth wants the proposed bill to ensure that there is regulation for growth and safe use of marijuana including the registration of growers, producers, manufacturers and users, with special focus on protection of minors from illicit use just as tobacco and alcohol.
