Teacher impregnated by 13 year old imprisoned
She was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Alexandra Vega, 25, from Texas was arrested in June last year and originally charged with sexual assault of a minor.
This would get a mandatory life sentence.

Her sentence was capped to 30 years after she pleaded to a lesser charge, Time reported.
Vega taught at Stovall Middle School where she met the boy in summer school and a romance blossomed after they began messaging on Instagram.
The pair reportedly had sex daily for nine months.
According to EAG Reports, neighbors said the victim was a fixture at Vera’s home, which the teacher also used to host sleepovers they suspect involved underage drinking.
Court papers revealed that Vera bought groceries for the boy's family, and attended holiday events as his girlfriend.

Prosecutors also said that she let two eighth graders have sex at her home, the Houston Chroniclereported.
The judge ruled that while Vera may not have been a pedophile, she was to serve as an example to the community.
