Chief Justice David Maraga directed the Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) to set a new date for the fresh election, forcing Kenyatta’s team and that of his arch rival Raila Odinga back to the campaign trail to woo voters.

Siaya Senator James Orengo finally answered the critical question of whether NASA will be proceeding to the Supreme Court if the results does not favour the Opposition’s flag bearer.
In a Q and A session with the Nation, the senior counsel divulged that this will not be the case if the IEBC conducts the election in a free and fair manner.
The lawyer noted that NASA will not tolerate injustice and electoral fraud but ready to live with the outcome if conducted in a free and fair way.
“Nasa is preparing for an election that is free and fair. In those circumstances, one can live with the outcome of the fresh presidential election. But Nasa is intolerant to injustice and electoral fraud,” he stated.
