Here are three things you should do to reduce harmful effects of taking too much sugar.
1. Stabilize your blood sugar
This can be done by eating slow digesting protein and fibre. Such as a hard boiled egg or vegetables.
2. Eat something filling later
Prepare a healthy meal to have when your blood sugar crashes.
3. Eat food with good bacteria
These are known as probiotic foods. Bacteria present in your digestive system may consume the excess sugar and affect your cognitive function. Eating probiotic foods like yoghurt or kefir helps counteract the "bad" bacteria present in the gut.
