When talking about substitutes for added sugar, artificial sweeteners are not good substitutes which means they are out of it. They are as bad as added sugar and even add more calories to our meal.

Here are good natural substitutes for added sugar

1. Honey

Honey is a natural substitute for the replacement of added sugar in your daily meal. Honey which is always in a golden and has a thick texture is produced by honey bees.

Honey contains vitamins and minerals and full of antioxidant. It has been proven that high level of antioxidants generally, lowers the risk of diseases.

Maple syrup is another substitute for added sugar. gotten from the sap of maple trees. Just like honey, maple is also in a thick form, with a dark brownish and golden colour.
