The surprising health benefit of cockroach milk
Who knew insects had milk?
Cockroach milk, which is comprised of the nutrient-rich milk crystals found inside the Pacific Beetle cockroach, is said to be one of the most nourishing and highly caloric substances on the planet.
The Pacific Beetle cockroach is said to use the protein crystals as food for cockroach infants.
New research suggests that it has four times as much proteins as cow milk contains amino acids that promote cell growth, lipids and sugars.
However, experts say that the milk contains growth hormones which may cause acne in some individuals.
The high sugar levels may also cause accelerated ageing of the skin.
The protein and fat may lead to healthier hair and nails since they are vital components of the two.
