So if you haven’t been giving your hands attention, you need to start doing so. This way, you can make a visit to the doctor if your hands indicate signs that may be of concern. Your palms, fingers and nails are all part of your hands and they can tell you much about your inner health.

Here are some conditions that your hands can predict:

1. Hyperhidrosis

If your palms are really sweaty, it could be a sign of menopause or hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is a condition where the body sweats in excess and it affects some parts of the body like the palms, feet and underarms. If you have this condition, you may opt for natural ways to get rid of it.

2. High blood pressure

You might have seen the doctor check your fingertips closely. If your fingertips have spiral/whorl patterns instead of loops, it might be an indicator of hypertension. It may also signify problems with fetal development in pregnant women.

3. Anemia

If you lack iron, you most likely will get anemia. Anemia is a condition where the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry Oxygen throughout the body. It leads to a pale skin which is more evident on your hands.

4. Lung disease

If your nails are curved down or the fingers are bulging at the tips, it could be a sign of lung disease. In most cases, clubbed fingers are as a result of insufficient blood supply. Clubbed fingers could also be a symptom of liver disease, cardiovascular diseases and inflammation of the bowels.

5. Parkinson’s disease

Shaky hands is not just a condition that affects alcohol addicts. And while it also may results from medications or too much caffeine, it could also be a sign of Parkinson’s disease.

6. Diabetes

If your nails are discolored, it could either be a sign of fungal infection or diabetes. The nails could be yellow or green in color.
