1. Ginger

Ginger has been used for thousands of years in treatment of nausea resulting from pregnancy, chemotherapy and C-section. You can either chew the root or drink ginger flavored tea. It is readily available in the market and grocery shops and works even better compared to some to some drugs.

2. Controlled breathing

Studies have shown that deep breathing is an incredible way to control nausea. Take a deep breath through the nose, then exhale through the mouth for a count of three. Although deep breathing can be done anywhere, it is more effective when done in an open place where there is fresh air.

3. Lemon

4. Peppermint/cinnamon

Studies reveal that cinnamon is very effective in relieving nausea caused by menstrual cramps. It’s mostly used as a flavoring in cooking and you can also chew cinnamon flavored gum. Peppermint also does a great job in dealing with chemotherapy nausea and you can use it in your tea just like ginger.

If you are feeling nauseated, you must drink lots of water to help in digestion and remain hydrated all through especially in hotter days. Dehydration heightens your nausea feelings and can even cause dizziness. If you are vomiting, keep on drinking water to replenish your fluid levels.
