We have lost count of the times the Grammy Award winner has graced top magazine covers, but, we are so here for it. The Black Panther actress is one of the few women of color who advocates for the natural hair movement and wears her natural hair even to red carpet events – A trend that was not common before her rise. It’s no wonder that the cream of the crop of the fashion and showbiz industry constantly use her as their muse when it comes to fashion and beauty campaigns as well as magazine covers cause evidently, our girl Lupita serves that melanin like the queen she is.
Lupita serves some serious melanin on the cover of Vogue Spain (Photos)
She just keeps winning
Her latest magazine cover is Vogue Spain, the November issue, dubbed ‘The Space Odyssey, Finger Comb issue’. An excited Lupita took to the gram to share some of the images with her fans while thanking those behind the cover.
“Thank you for celebrating me and my work by making me your cover girl this ! It took a lot of people to build my blocks and get me to this point. Photographers: Stylist: Threads: Hair: Make up: Manicurist: Production: (And thank you for celebrating my kinky hair for real!)”- She wrote.
One thing that stood out from the caption was her thanking them for celebrating her hair. If you recall, sometime back, she called out a certain British magazine for photoshopping her hair, to fit the European beauty standards. Lupita looked radiant and absolutely stunning in the Vogue shoot, we can't help but swoon.
Have a look at some of the images from the shoot:
This cover comes just a few months after she graced the cover of Porter Magazine where she opened up about ‘driving change in Hollywood, empowering women, redressing beauty standards for people of color, and why no one should dare touch her hair'.
