In a video posted on Twitter, Drake is seen telling the crowd that he was "here for you [the crowd] tonight. If you want me to keep going, I will keep going. I will keep going tonight."
The crowd then responded with a symphony of resounding boos. Yikes. But like the sometimes classy man he is, Drake replied with, "It's all love. I love y'all," and then exited the stage.
The ferocious booing seems odd for a musician of Drake's caliber, especially when it was revealed that he was a surprise guest, and Tyler, the Creator reportedly asked Drake to come perform at the music festival specifically.
As E! reports, the concertgoers were upset because they believed that Frank Ocean was going to be the surprise guest, not Drake. But when the concert clips started making their way online, fans began to defend Drake.
"Frank not performing is exactly what a crowd who would boo Drake deserves," one fan wrote, while another said "They got their hopes up for frank (their fault) and when drake came out their expectations dropped and they projected all their dissapointment [sic] on him."

What they did to Drake at #campfloggnaw was bullshit. Ungrateful as hell. Tyler probably dreamed of having an artist like that on his set list a few years ago. Drizzy handled it with grace while yall look goofy as hell. Xi (@xizhon)
This is annoying. They got their hopes up for frank (their fault) and when drake came out their expectations dropped and they projected all their dissapointment on him. Drake didnt deserve that kind of disrespect, or any other artist who wouldve been special guest besides frank Jas (@jzzn_rlxxn)
However, it seems like Drake is taking everything in stride. He reportedly told media personality DJ Akademiks that the booing was a "moment of humility which is always welcomed," and that it "was just not my night. Wasnt who they wanted to see."
