A church in Nairobi has caused a huge stir after it bought a city club and turned it into a chapel as one of its branches. Kenyans have known to have mixed feelings when religion and secular lifestyles especially clubbing intermix.

However, it appears, the church really loved the location of the club and even the easy recognition their new Chapel would have.

Mamlaka Hill Chapel whose headquarters are in Kilimani has announced a new branch which sees the club expand to the city outskirts in Ruaka.

Its new location is what used to be the home of a popular club known as Herisquare.  The Club used to be popular given its size and location from town just near the road. Live bands and plays were also a common feature.

Its huge outdoor area along with amenities like swimming pools have made it a great investment on the side of the church. The location was also a popular picnic area as well as corportae functions like team building and conferencing.

Still Twitter had a number of hilarious reactions over the change from the surprising to the hilarious. One guy best captured the mood of regular revelers with this tweet
