One of the biggest events in the fashion calendar is on, and we have one of our own at the forefront.

Muthoni Njoba is part of the New York Fashion Week make-up team

The New York Fashion week which goes down in February and September of each year is in full gear and our very own Muthoni Njoba is working there. The Maybelline Kenya brand ambassador was among the lucky make-up artistes chosen to beat the faces of the models till they glowed for the gods.

Maybelline New York has sponsored New York Fashion Week for the last 8 years and in 2014, they were the Official Make-Up Sponsor for London Fashion Week.

London Fashion Week is part of the ‘Big Five’ fashion weeks which consists of Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Berlin Fashion Week.

A few hours ago, Muthoni showed us one of the looks she worked on for New York Fashion Week captioning it :

Every show at fashion week has a Lead Make-up Artist who creates a look with the designer of the collection in advance. On the day of the show the Lead Make-up Artist demonstrates the look once for the @Maybelline team then we have to recreate it on the different models we work on. I absolutely loved this look created by the Lead Make-up Artist @erinparsonsmakeup for @laperlalingerie Fall/Winter 2017 Show.
