The 59-year-old manages one of the best companies in Kenya and recently he let the world into his life to learn a thing or two about him.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Plive.co.ke picked seven interesting facts about Mr.Collymore.

The recently re-married CEO has a total of four children, who he says makes him laugh the hardest.

2. What he values most in a relationship

Collymore believes that the essential key to keep a relationship going is communication, something that is quite interesting as he is the boss of Kenya’s largest telecommunication company.

3. What he hates most in the human race

The Safaricom boss divulged that if he had the opportunity to get rid of one thing in the human race it would be intolerance.

4. Favourite Song

Mr. Collymore is a music lover and this has been evident with him starting the Safaricom Jazz Festival. His favorite song is If its Magic by Stevie Wonder and he also secretly wishes he had written the Classic Smile by Nat King Cole

5. Favourite artist

Kenyan hip hop gospel musician Julius Owino better know as Juliani is Colymore favourite local artist.

6. Morning Routine

Collymore’s mornings start at quarter past five, that is when he wakes up. He hits the gym in the early hours, grooms for work then checks his mails.

He reports to his office at a quarter past eight.

7. Biggest Career moment at Safaricom

Asked about his grandest career moment as Safaricom’s boss, Collymore states that he probably has not yet attained it.

8. Has he ever owned an Airtel line?

You would think that the urge to keep his competitor at bay would make he not possess an Airtel line. This is far from the truth as the Safaricom boss has ever owned one.

Collymore admits to making several mistakes with new products at the telecommunication company and as a manager, this has taught him not to blow his own trumpet until he can see the results
