Heck, you’ll hear it anytime you talk about marriage.

In context, a woman who is dedicated to the church is depicted as one of virtue with a strict list of principles that will make marriage life simple and happier for both man and wife.

Question is, does it really work?

P Live.co.ke took to the streets to ask random men what they thought about this theory. Does marrying a church girl really guarantee a happy marriage?

A good number agreed to the notion stating that marrying a church girl will ensure that you find a woman who is yet to be exposed to the ways of the world. (Sic) Others says it doesn’t make a difference while the rest agreed that it doesn’t determine if the union will be successful but it is a safer bet than trying to marry a girl you met in the club.

In my opinion, where you meet a woman doesn’t necessarily determine what kind of wife she will be. I personally know of people who’ve married prostitutes that changed and became very good wives.

Still we live in a society that is very conservative about personal image and what kind of woman the man’s relatives will accept to welcome into the family.

However, I strongly believe that one should marry their best friend. At the end of the day, marriage is forever and forever is a very long time to be attached to someone who you cannot be yourself around.

This is probably why so many people are miserable in their marriages. Really, how do you expect your church bound girl to find humor in your drunk escapades? What is the purpose of marrying someone who you have no mutual interests with beyond getting babies and making a life together?

So many things need to be put into consideration like their sexual limitations, their dos and don’ts and most of all the ability to endure through hard times.

She best be a cook too. (wink wink)

Well, enough about what I think. Here’s what Kenyan men had to say.
