5 things couples argue about and how to avoid them

Relationships cannot always be a bed of roses and everyone knows that.

If you are in a relationship with someone and you keep arguing over the same things over and over and you do not know how to deal with those arguments, then this article is for you.

Here are 5 common arguments that every couple has and how to avoid them

It comes as no surprise that money is the most common thing that most couples argue over.

One might be a spend thrift while the other might be a miser when it comes to how money is handled – two completely different ways of money management.

In order to avoid the impending money squabbles that are bound to happen in such situations, discuss how the both of you handle money before hand and designate roles of who will take care of which expense.

You can also decide on how shared funds can be managed.

2.Spending time together

You may be feeling like you and your partner are not spending enough time together or that the two of you are spending too much time together.

The best thing to do in this situation is to discuss how much time is adequate for the both of you to spend time together and will help your relationship grow further.

3.Handling each other’s emotions

Inability to handle each other’s emotions can cause big misunderstandings within relationships.

One partner may feel like they are not being heard while the other may feel that their partner is being overly sensitive.

This causes a rift between the partners and causes a lack of communication within the relationship.

The best option to solving this before it gets bad is by seeking a third party opinion – that is looking  into a couple’s counselor.

4.Hosting friends and family in your home

There are numerous couples that will arguably agree that hosting their partner’s family or friends can cause a lot of problems in relationships.

You may spring it on your significant other that your mother is coming into town during the weekend – the weekend being tomorrow – ignoring the fact that your partner had a busy week and would just like it to be the two of you.

Your partner lets you know that they feel like you sidelined them in that situation and you feel like they just do not want to spend time with your family.

Couples are advised to consider the fact that they are not living alone anymore therefore they need to make sure that their partner has a say in it before any action is taken.

5.How to parent your child

This is a very tricky situation any couple can get themselves in - for those that have children.

Issues such as how to punish a child when they make mistakes or how much allowance a child is allowed to have if any are some of the problems that couples have when parenting their child.

Always make sure that you are on the same page with your partner when it comes to parenting.
