Why women get bored of having sex after one year in their relationships

Well this can't be good.

After the ‘honeymoon phase’ which according to a study from Southampton University usually ends after one year, women become four times less interested in having sex with their partners.

“For women in particular, the quality and length of relationship and communication with their partners are important in their experience of sexual interest. It highlights the need to assess and – if necessary – treat sexual interest problems in a holistic and relationship, as well as gender-specific, way,” the study’s author Professor Cynthia Graham was quoted by Maxim.

The study surveyed 11,508 people and 34 percent of women confessed to losing interest in having sex with their man one year into their relationships.

Only 15 percent of the men felt the same way.

One of the major reasons for women’s decline in sexual interest in their partners is due to a decrease in libido after having three or more partners alongside having children after five.

Other possible reasons for both men and women’ decline in sexual interest include being put off by past experiences of forced sex, poor mental and physical health or having recently had a sexually transmitted infection.

Different sexual preferences also played a part in putting off having regular sex.

Spicing up things in the bedroom could be a possible solution to this.
