This can be done either at the wedding reception or after the wedding. Everyone did take their time to come celebrate you and your future partner and it is only right that you tell them thank you.

Write personalized cards for your wedding attendees letting them know how grateful you are that they made your day special.

Bonus tip: Do not take too long to send the thank you messages out though. 3 months after your wedding can be a good time to do this.

Deliver your wedding gifts

The best way to make sure your wedding gifts are safely delivered to your new home is to plan ahead of time.

Hire a truck or delivery service to carry your gifts to your home and make sure that one trustworthy family member or friend is present to safeguard your items.

Preserve your gown

As much as you may not wear it again, it can be nice to clean your wedding dress and keep it for good memories of your special day.

Do not wait too long however to clean it as it may be hard to get the stains out.

This can also work for those that have rented out their wedding dresses and also those that wish to sell their wedding dresses.

Arrange for one of your trusted friends or family member to pick it for you if it gets ready before you arrive back from your honeymoon.

Shop for your new home

Planning your finances is not only limited to your wedding day but also after your wedding day. You are going to be living in a new home with your partner and you need to make sure there are certain necessities such as food and toiletries – things that can be easily forgotten.

Make sure to set aside an allowance for this while sorting out details of your wedding day.

Change your name

No this does not apply to your social media pages only. Make sure you change your name legally through the use of a Deed Poll – a legal document binding only to a single person or several persons acting jointly to express an active intention.

You can get more information on name change from the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice.

Create a photo album

With everything being digital these days, it can be a good idea to have a tangible memory of your special day.

Select the photos you would like to be in the album and let your photographer know ahead of time so that they can create an album for you.
