Son of Sam: The Killer Speaks Forty years after the Son of Sam murders, CBS News Maurice DuBois visited Berkowitz in a maximum security prison in upstate New York. The special also features interviews with surviving victims, explaining how the shootings changed their lives forever. Berkowitz himself talks about his hardships growing up, being in the clutches of demonic forces, and his now-religious life in prison.
