In a rejoinder, Mr Sonko who got over 800,000 votes against Kidero, has said that the cash would instead be directed to paying off salaries for county staff which are in arrears.
Meanwhile, over 300 MPs - elect will on Tuesday August 22 be sworn in during the official opening of the 12th Parliament.
As per the house standing orders, the newly elected MPs will be sworn in and there after proceed for an induction process.
After the swearing in, the main order of business on the day will be to elect the National Assembly speaker and his/her deputy.
A week later on August 29, President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are set to sworn in barring any court petitions.
According to the outgoing National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, after the President’s swearing in, a special sitting of the National Assembly will be called for the Head of State can make his maiden speech.
Following the August 8 election, Jubilee has a total of 164 out of the 349 seats in the National Assembly.
