Cholera outbreak in Nairobi
Last month, Nairobi City County issued an outbreak of the disease after several cases had been confirmed in the county.
County Director of Health Dr. Lucina Koyio had confirmed the news after a series of reported cases in the region.
Koyio, had directed all referral hospitals to reactivate their treatment units to prevent the spread of the disease.
“I am requesting all referral hospitals to reactivate their Cholera treatment units to prevent the spread of the disease.
“All sub-counties should be on high alert and treat all suspected cases as cholera cases. Please also reactivate your sub-county response team,” stated the Nairobi County Director of Health.
