The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has shortlisted 10 candidates for the position of Commission Secretary and CEO.

The 10 were selected from a total of 97 applications received after the Commission advertised for the position on May 21, 2019.
Among the top 10 contenders for the position are three women: Dr Elishiba Muthoni from Murang'a County, Ms Anne Kerubo from Nyamira and Ms Nancy Wanjiku from Laikipia County.
Others shortlisted are Dr Joel Lusweti (Bungoma), Humphrey Okuku (Busia), Zephania Okeyo (Homa Bay), Eng. Paul Christopher Kioko (Kitui), Marjan Hussein (Mombasa), Benjamin Kipchumba (Nandi) and Dr Khalid Billow (Wajir).
Four candidates will be interviewed for the position on June 24, four others on June 25 and the last two will be interviewed on June 26.
"All shortlisted applicants are advised to bring along their original and copy of their academic and professional certificates and testimonials and clearance certificates from KRA. HELB, ODPP, DCI, CRB and EACC," the notice from IEBC directed.
IEBC not affected by absence of CEO - Chebukati
One of the shortlisted candidates, Mr Marjan, has been serving the IEBC as CEO on an acting capacity since Ezra Chiloba was ousted.
Chairman Wafula Chebukati has often the public that operations at the commission have been running smoothly without a CEO.
"We have an acting CEO and commission secretary and all our programs are going on well," he stated earlier in the week.
