The Kenyan media landscape report compiled by TIFA Research Limited and Reelforge is out showing the most talked about Personalities in Kenyan News.

According to the report that was released on Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta is the most mentioned personality in the news at 20% followed by Deputy President William Ruto at 13% and Raila Odinga at 8%.

The statistics further indicated that Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi and Sports CS Amina Mohamed are also largely covered in the news at 3%.

Most talked about Individuals

Others who featured on the list of the 17 most talked about individuals include; Dr Fred Matiangi (5%), Mike Sonko (3%), Amina Mohammed (3%), Musalia Mudavadi (2%), Professor George Magoha (2%) DPP Noodoin Haji (2%), Kalonzo Musyoka (2%), DCI George Kinoti (2%), CJ David Maraga (2%), Ferdinand Waititu (2%), EX IG Boinnet, Okoth Obado, Francis Atwoli and Hassan Joho all at 1% respectively.

Among County Bosses, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been accorded the highest coverage (28%), followed by both Ferdinand Waititu at 14% and Okoth Obado at 11%. Wycliffe Oparanya, the Chairman of the Council of Governor’s and Alfred Mutua both have 7% news coverage (October 2018 to June 2019).
