2 dead, several rushed to hospital in Saturday road accident

Wreckage of the vehicle that was involved in accident along Kangundo-Nairobi road

Two people died on the spot while several others were rushed to hospital after a lorry rammed into a 14 seater matatu along the Kangundo-Nairobi road.

Kangundo OCPD Benjamin Ongombe confirmed that some of the passengers who were injured were rushed to Kangundo Level 4 Hospital.

Other causlties with minor injuries were rushed to Nguluni Health Centre where they were attended to.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary at Kangundo Hospital awaiting identification.

Investigations have been launched to establish the cause of the accident.

Police confirmed that the Saturday accident happened at Joska area.
