2 killed in grisly accident as angry crowd sets vehicle on fire

Two people perished in a grisly road accident on Saturday evening when a matatu they were travelling in veered off the road and landed in a ditch.

The accident which happened along the Kapsowar-Eldoret highway is thelatest in a series of accidents in the month of December.

Reports indicate that the matatu driver was trying to overtake a lorry when he lost control and the vehicle skidded off the road, killing two boda boda riders.

The angry residents torched the matatu following the grisly accident while the two bodies were taken to Iten Referral Hospital.
