Four people have died after a lorry veered off the Nairobi-Nakuru highway at Soko Mjinga, Kinangop Constituency, Nyandarua County.

Two of the victims were male loaders at the market while one of the other victims was a woman trader at the market who all died on the spot.
The fourth person who is yet to be identified died while receiving treatment for injuries at a hospital in Naivasha.
The 6 a.m. incident also left 11 people with serious injuries, six of the survivors are said to be in critical condition.
Police report on Soko Mjinga accident
Njabini OCPD Charles Rotich confirmed the report stating that police were yet to catch up with the driver of the lorry who had since fled the scene of the accident.
"The two men were loaders while the woman is a trader at the market. [The place] is very busy [especially] during morning hours. The truck also hit a parked matatu and another lorry parked on the roadside.
"The driver of the truck that caused the accident was driving at a high speed down the hill when he lost control of the lorry," he stated.
