Investigations into the gruesome murder of Mr. Chetan Vyas has taken a new turn after officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested five suspects in connection with the murder of the former General Manager at RAI Cement Company.

Taking to Twitter, DCI revealed that the arrests were made after” extensive forensic investigations of the crime scene in the residential house & entire vicinity where victim was murdered”.
The suspects are Azim Salim (38) Osman Noor (24), Mohamed Shahid (38) Yacoob Wali (24) and an ex Saudi Arabia & Qatar security guard Shabdin Ismail (29) who are in police custody and are assisting in further investigations.
“Five suspects connected with the Gruesome Murder of Mr. Chetan VYAS; Former General Manager at RAI Cement Company-Kericho on the night of 22nd & 23rd September, 2019 were today morning arrested by DCI Detectives following Extensive Forensic Investigations of the Crime Scene in the Residential Hse & Entire Vicinity where Victim was Murdered.

All the five suspects are employees of RAI Cement Company where the deceased worked before his death.
At the same time, the agency cautioned companies who employ foreign-trained personnel to always seek their Clearance from DCI, which is done through Interpol Coordination to avoid hiring people of questionable character.
DCI also revealed that they are casting the nets wider and are now also investigating the aspect of terror in the murder.
“They are all Loading Supervisors in Rai Cement Company from Mombasa. The aspect of Terror is also being investigated in the murder. The DCI Cautions Companies who employ foreign-trained personnel to always seek their Clearance from DCI, which is done through Interpol Coordination”. Stated DCI.
Yvas was murdered on the night of 22nd and 23rd September, 2019 by unknown people who accessed his house through the roof.
The motive of the bizarre murder as well as the perpetrators are yet to be known.
