Al-Shabaab attacks Dadajabula Police Station in Wajir, kills 2 members locked inside

The Al Shabaab militia group on Tuesday night executed an attack on Dadajabula Police Station in Wajir County.

Residents around the area reported heavy gun fire at the police station that is said to have gone on for some time.

Police officers at the station are said to have resisted the attack with equally heavy gun fire against their attackers.

Initial reports indicate that two Al Shabaab members who were locked up at the station were eliminated during the shoot-out.

Three police officers attached to the station also sustained injuries.
